The Mercury in Taurus Man or Woman
The Mercury in Taurus Man or Woman is a lover of love. These individuals are true romantics, and even if other aspects say differently, their voice makes you want to believe in love again. They generally have very unique and or attractive voices. Ella Fitzgerald for example could shatter a glass with her voice and was considered The Queen of Jazz. Selena, another Mercury in Taurus woman, was considered the Queen of Tejano Music. It is said that one of the reasons why John F. Kennedy won against Richard Nixon was because the event was televised and everyone who watched or was there in person thought that JFK looked calmer and stronger.
Let's not forget about Sigmund Freud, to which we coined the phrase "a Freudian slip" - meaning that the unconscious (Scorpio is opposite Taurus) slipped through to the conscious. Not only that, Freud was famous for bringing conversations about the erotic into his work and created the idea of the pleasure pain principle along with being the founder of psychoanalysis.
In other words, these people are not just a pretty face or voice, and until they are absolutely sure of what they are saying, they feel the need to necessarily let you in on their little secrets.
How could you not know that it's been right in front of you this whole time.
As logical as these individuals can be, romance and love can have a way of taking over. When they are passionate about something, they are an immoveable force and they will die holding onto their beliefs. These are the people that may take a little bit longer out of the gate, but once they get going, nothing will stop them from sharing their voice (Malcolm X).
Linda Goodman had this placement as well and she wrote the first modern book on love Astrology - taking Astrology from the Occult (Scorpio) and bringing it to the love life fairytales of everyone else (Taurus).
Let's face it, in whatever way they use it, the voice of individuals with their Mercury in Taurus touches us all. It plays our heart strings like a harp, and we silently or loudly cheer (depending on our own Mercury Placement) for their love story, for their heroes journeys when they do stand in the beauty of the Taurus energy.
Maybe they do take a bit longer than others to make a final decision about something, but once they do, trust me, it's made. God forbid they ever get caught going back on their word - it would haunt them forever.
To my beautiful Mercury in taurus men and women, thank you for whispering the fairytale into my ear, and making my heart go boom, boom, not just for me, but for all of you too.
